Core Values

Solidarity

Mukikute is a national organization united in the fight against tuberculosis. This binds all TB members, volunteers and employees together as one towards eradicating the disease. We must act in solidarity with our vulnerable TB and HIV patients and this is driven by the desire to empower the communities to accept and take care of every member of their community even of those who are weak, sick and excluded.

Respect

Mukikute strives to treat and serve all people respectfully regardless of their sex, religion, age, race, origin and sexual orientation. That applies to the interactions with our beneficiaries as well as with our staff, members and partners.

Empathy

Due to our various experiences with former TB patients and from Mukikute’s TB and HIV programs, there is a deep emotional understanding of empathy for others’ situations and feelings. The organization provides a patient-friendly and emphatic environment when offering our health care services.

Accountability

We obligate ourselves as individuals and as an organization in its entirety to account for our activities and disclose the results in a transparent manner within and outside the organization. We also accept responsibility for the resources given to us.
